Lee Grady: The Heart of Discipleship

He served as a writer and editor for a christian magazine for many years before going into full-time ministry.Lee and his wife Deborah have been married 36 years and currently reside in LaGrange, Georgia. They have 3 daughters.
 Along with disciplining and mentoring men, Lee is Director of the Mordecai Project that helps to heal, protect and empower women around the world. The Mordecai Project works with multiple projects in countries such as Mexico, Guatemala, Somalia, Afghanistan, Uganda and many others to help provide homes and schooling for young girls. They also provide counseling centers, shelters, and rescue centers in Asia, the Middle East, Central and South America

3:45  - Lee talks about his experience of when he was baptized with the Holy Spirit.

11:40 - The 4 hats of discipleship
             1) Mentor - lead by being an example and model
             2) Coach - help them to discover their life potential or calling
             3) Counselor - help them to get free from addictions, sin, and other issues in life
             4) Spiritual Father - Affirmation. Times of encouragement but also maybe a need                                                for correction.

20:45 - James 5:16 "Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much"

24:06 - The call to ministry for Lee Grady and when he prayed Isaiah 6:8 "Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying:

And who will go for Us?”

            Matthew 28:19-20 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
1)Identify - find the ones that God puts on your heart to connect with to mentor
2) Invest- TIME spent with those you disciple.
3) Include- invite them into your life
4) Instruct- Teach the Bible and get the Word in them. Show them to read the Bible and have a daily devotion.
5) Intercede- Pray for those you disciple
6)Impart- spiritual process by the Holy Spirit. A powerful infusion of the Holy Spirit into their lives of a prophetic gift or an outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
