When we hear the word Crisis it is usually in the form of economic, environmental, the oil crisis, the crisis in the Middle East, a marital crisis or the ever popular Mid-Life Crisis.

Most times when we hear these words it has a negative connotation, but did you know that there are times when a crisis is a good thing in your life?

Wikipedia defines crisis as  "any  event or period that will lead or may lead to an unstable or dangerous situation affecting an individual, group, or all of society. Crisis are negative changes in the human or environmental affairs, especially with little or no warning".

Webster's Dictionary defines crisis :
1) A turning point for better or worse in an acute disease
2) A paroxysmal attack of pain, distress or disordered function
3) The decisive moment ( plot of a story)
4) An unstable or crucial time or state of affairs in which a situation that has reached a critical phase

So what does God want you and me to do when we face those moments in our lives.

  1. Crisis is Normal to Life
  2. Follow God's Pattern of Forgiveness - John 20:23. Luke 23:34
  3. Admit that God is Your Source- Hebrews 13:6,  Psalms 30:6, Psalms 54:4
  4. Don't Panic-  Psalms 91;5,10-11
  5. Admit God's Sovereignty-  Genesis 50:19-20
  6. Don't Limit God- Matthew 13:58
  7. Humble Yourself to God- 1 Peter 5:6; Philippians 2:8-11
  8. Trust God to Vindicate You- Romans 12:19
  9. Communicate- Matthew 5:37; 2 Corinthians 1:20
  10. Act On Principle- 1 Thessalonians 5:18
